From December 14 to 16 in Rome was held the annual congress of Italian Society of Cardiology.
During the SIC event, one of the topic of the discussion was the risk caused by the traditional contrast agent in peripheral angiography.
The growing interest in relation to this topic is proven by the reports of leading specialists in the field during a symposium titled “THE KIDNEY DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE CONTRAST AGENT IN THE POLIVASCULOPATIC PATIENT UNDERWENT ANGIOGRAPHY”.
During this session Doctor Filippo Scalise presented a relation about “ CO2 angiography as an alternative to iodinated contrast media in peripheral vascular disease”.
